The Adam Kilgarriff Prize recognizes outstanding young researchers working in:
- corpus linguistics
- computational linguistics
- natural language processing (NLP)
- lexicography
- related language technologies
Applicants must be no more than 40 years of age in the year that the application is submitted.
The prize honours the memory and legacy of Adam Kilgarriff (1960–2015), a pioneering computational linguist and the founder of Sketch Engine, whose work transformed modern corpus linguistics and computational lexicography.
The prize is awarded every two years in conjunction with the international eLex conference series.
